TEDxBrussels is but a few days away and the social media team provided by ZN is gearing up for the big event. This year however, we aim to take “engagement” and interactivity to a whole new level for those present at BOZAR or watching TEDxBrussels on our livestream. If you’ve been to TEDxBrussels before, you will know how electrifying the atmosphere is, filled with energy, inspiration and creativity. The only problem, you don’t have an outlet for all these ideas that fill your imagination as the speakers impart their knowledge.
Based in a grounding belief that, overall, people have a desire to “do good” and make positive impact on the world, Smilemundo is a global organization that provides people with the tools to interact with one another and the causes that interest them in order to make their mark on the world. With the help of the crowd funding platform and group of 50+ multi-talented volunteers from all over the world, Smilemundo is a community that allows everyone to do a little bit in order to create something big.
TEDx Brussels has long had the ambition to reach out to students and involve them more in what we do. We've always had a good student presence at the event including both attendees and volunteers. In 2011 we tested a new concept with the VUB in Brussels: that they would show our free webstream live in the the University Theatre while TEDx Brussels was under way at Bozar. It was a huge success with students and professors dropping in and out throughout the day to listen to talks.
