Recently we interviewed Alia Papageorgiou, managing editor of New Europe, European's Political Newspaper. See what she has to say about her passions and projects.

1/ My most important project for the moment is:

New Europe's drive for transparency, democracy, and the truth in Brussels, journalism and this newspaper can bring every person closer to Europe.

2/ The person, the creation, the project that has inspired me lately is :

1. A storytelling project that I stumbled across while on holiday this summer, and that I hope to bring to life in a similar form, also Le Magasin D'Histoires in Brussels; storytelling is the oldest form of communicating our magnificence and who doesn't love a good story?
2. The female journalists struggling to bring the facts to the world in crisis situations that this year's #BRUTwestival will be sponsoring through its chosen charity. They are an inspiration.

3/ The 3 factors I believe crucial for an idea/project/business to spread are:

1. Clear communication
2. Funding
3. The need to actually solve a problem

These possibly could be in reverse from 3 to 1 ! :)

4/ My favorite place in the world is:

Where my loved ones are, they just happen to be in awesome places.

5/ Before I die I want to:

See the Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights. Whether it be from Finland, Estonia, Alaska or Sweden but that is one thing I want to see before I die; the other is New York and as much of the rest of the world and the people in it; to hear their stories and use what time may be left for every experience possible would be a blessing.

6/ Are you coming to TEDxBrussels this year?

7/ Why?

I wouldn't miss it for anything, I have been going to TedXBrussels since the first edition in the European Parliament a few years ago and had to miss one in 2011 because of work... that is never going to happen again!
