As TEDxBrussels is around the corner, here we post the interview with 'Shoe', whose exhibition recently opened in New York. He also reveals a well-kept secret (until now it was...) about his performance at the event.

1/My most important project for the moment is:

At the moment I have five paintings (one sold) in the exhibition 'Calligraffiti 1984-2013' at Leila Heller gallery in New York. It's curated by Jeffrey Deitch, the former director of The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. To show in such a prestigious gallery alongside Jackson Pollock, Jean Dubuffet, Cy Twombly, Lee Krasner, Hans Hartung, Franz Kline, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Rammellzee and Hassan Massoudy was a dream still undreamt.

2/The person, the creation, the project that has inspired me lately is :
the Mars rover Curiosity

3/The 3 factors I believe crucial for an idea/project/business to spread are:
location / location / location

4/My favorite place in the world is:
Amsterdam

5/Before I die I want to:
I don't expect to die.

6/Are you coming to TEDxBrussels this year?
Yes

7/Why?
Because they told me I didn't have to talk. In stead I'll be painting this year's motto 'Ex Nihilo'. With a broom.
